Privacy Policy

Monolith — Strength Tracker · Effective date: April 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Monolith ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Monolith is a personal strength-training tracker. It is designed to work offline-first: almost everything you enter stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. The only exception is in-app purchases, which are described in detail below.

1. Short version

2. Data stored on your device only

The following information is stored locally on your device via the operating system's app storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted off your device:

None of the above is uploaded, synced to a cloud, or shared with us. We have no servers that store your data.

2.1 Data you export yourself

The app provides an optional Export feature that writes your data to a file on your device. If you choose to share that file with another app (email, cloud storage, messaging), the data leaves the app only because you explicitly initiated that share. We are not a party to it.

3. Data handled by third-party services (only if you make a purchase)

Monolith offers a one-time premium upgrade. If — and only if — you tap Unlock or Restore Purchase, the following third parties become involved:

3.1 Google Play Billing

Your purchase is processed by Google Play. Google receives your Play account email, payment method, country, and transaction metadata in order to complete and, if needed, refund the purchase. This information is handled under Google's own privacy terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

3.2 RevenueCat

To verify that your purchase is valid and to allow you to restore it on a new device, the app uses RevenueCat. When a purchase or restore occurs, the following is processed by RevenueCat on our behalf:

RevenueCat does not receive your workouts, body stats, name, or any training data. RevenueCat's privacy practices: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

4. Children's privacy

Monolith is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that shared information with a third-party service listed above, contact us at the email below and we will help you exercise your rights with that service.

5. Your rights

Because we do not hold your data on our servers, most rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are exercised directly on your device:

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), those rights apply to the limited data processed by our third-party providers listed in section 3. Contact us to exercise them.

6. Data retention

Locally-stored data stays on your device until you delete it. Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained for as long as needed to support restores, refunds, tax, and legal compliance, in accordance with their respective policies.

7. Security

Because your training data never leaves your device, its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend you use a screen lock and keep your device's operating system up to date. For purchase-related data handled by Google Play and RevenueCat, those services use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

8. International transfers

If you use the purchase flow, data described in section 3 may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, by Google and RevenueCat under their standard contractual safeguards.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the app on next launch. The current version is always available from Profile → Settings → Privacy Policy.
